*CALL TO WORSHIP – from Psalm 17:1-8

Leader:  Come fill this place with your presence, O Lord.

People: We call upon you for you hear us when we pray.

Leader:  We come to celebrate your unchanging love,

People: For in you we find refuge from our burdens.

Leader:  Watch over us, O God, according to your tender love,

People: Hide us from all adversity,

in the shadow of your wings!

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

O Lord our God, we confess that we do not reflect your glory.  You bless us so generously, but we deny your blessing to others. You provide for us so richly, but we are slow to share your gifts.  Forgive us; restore and reorder our lives by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, so that we may proclaim with gratitude the great abundance of your love, to the glory of your holy name...

Silent Prayers of Confession

ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS – Romans 8:38-39

The Apostle Paul wrote, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Therein rests our assurance of forgiveness.

Thanks be to God!
