PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Forgive my sins, O Lord, the sins of my soul and the sins of my body, the sins I have done to please myself and the sins I have done to please others. Forgive me those sins which I know and those sins which I know not. Forgive them, O Lord. Forgive them all, of Thy great mercy…

WORDS OF ASSURANCE from Romans 6: 4b,11
Jesus died and rose again so that we might experience “newness of life so we can consider ourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Jesus Christ.” All you who repent of your sin and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation, rejoice and be glad and give glory to the Lord, who has taken away all of your sins, in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Thanks be to God!

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles’ Creed Page 35
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic* Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
