WELCOME AND CONCERNS OF THE CONGREGATION
PRELUDE
*CALL TO WORSHIP – from Psalm 30: 4-5, 11-12
Sing praises to the LORD, O you his faithful ones,
and give thanks to his holy name.
For his anger is but for a moment;
His favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may linger for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
You have turned my mourning into dancing;
You have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
so that my soul may praise you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Creator God, you give wisdom to those who serve, but we would rather be served. We search for easy answers and fast tracks, even in our work on your behalf. We do not make time to study and pray that we may discern your leading. Forgive us. Slow us down, that we may seek your wisdom. Teach us that you are indeed among us, and show us the way to faithful living....
Silent Prayers of Confession
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation. Everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! All this is from God, to whom we have been reconciled through Christ. (2 Corinthians 5: 17, 18a). Through Jesus we are forgiven, we are healed, we are restored.
Thanks be to God!
