Living God, we confess that we look for the living among the dead. You made the heavens and earth, but we worship our own devices.  You send your Spirit to guide us, but we try to find our own way.  Forgive us; give us new life! Renew the promise of our baptism and make us ready to receive the life that death cannot destroy; through Jesus Christ our Lord...
