PRAYER OF CONFESSION                                         

Almighty and eternal God, the strength of those who believe, and the hope of those who doubt: We confess that our faith is small, that we trust in our own devices more than in your gracious promise to sustain us.  Lord, increase our faith; quicken us amidst our unbelief.  By Your Spirit grant us, who have not seen, yet seek to believe, the faith to receive the fullness of Christ’s blessing.  Work in us and through us by the same Spirit that raised Him from the dead, to Your honor and glory…

Silent Prayers of confession

ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS – 1 Peter 1: 8, 9

We read in the letter of Peter: “Although you have not seen Jesus, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”  The good news therefore is this: in Jesus Christ our sins are forgiven.
