Forgive our doubting hearts and mistrustful lives. We worship you with our lips, but our lives do not shout forth praise. Forgive our sin that we may love you and serve you with all our heart and strength and might. In Christ’s name we pray.…

WORDS OF ASSURANCE

The prophet Isaiah calls on the wicked to forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts; let them return to God who will have mercy on them and abundantly pardon them. (Isaiah 55:7) And we believe that “Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.” (1 Timothy 1:15)

The good news therefore is this: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

Thanks be to God!

I believe in the Holy Ghost; theholy catholic* Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
