Eternal God, forgive us for being hesitant to love the church we have received. Forgive us for going each to our own way, and forgive us for demanding that the church go with us. Help us to remember the ministry of those who have served before us. When in danger, give us their comfort, and when in difficulty, their perseverance; that we too may be faithful until we rejoice with all the saints in your eternal kingdom, through Jesus Christ, our Lord…
