PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Almighty God, we confess that we have not lived for your glory. You claim us as beloved children, but we do not honor your name. You call us to paths of righteousness, but we fail to follow your way. Forgive us, God of grace. Break down the walls that divide us from you and one another, and build us up into a holy temple; through Jesus Christ our Lord…

Silent Prayers of confession

WORDS OF ASSURANCE – 2nd Corinthians 5:17

If you are in Christ, you are a new creation. Everything old has passed away; now everything is made new. In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.

Thanks be to God!

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic* Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
