We are gathered in one place to call on the name of the Lord:
come, Holy Spirit, come!
We are members of one body, calling out, in Jesus’ name:
come, Holy Spirit, come!

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
O God of life and breath, your Spirit calls to us. But often we are reluctant to act. The wind of the Spirit blows and draws us ahead, yet we want to hang onto what is familiar and safe. Give us courage to yield ourselves to your Spirit, for you are sovereign and at work in the world. Help us let go of that which does not nurture us, for you are the source of life. Remind us as we struggle in our failures and disappointments that we struggle in the palm of your hand…
Silent Prayers of Confession
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS – 2 Corinthians 5:17-18
Hear the assurance of the apostle, that no matter what you have done you are not bound by the past: “If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.” And so I declare to you Christ’s word of forgiveness: Our sins are forgiven.
Thanks be to God!
