WELCOME AND CONCERNS OF THE CONGREGATION
PRELUDE “There’s a Wideness in God’s Mercy”
Robert J. Powell
*CALL TO WORSHIP – from Psalm 96
Sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the whole earth.
Sing to the LORD and bless the His name;
proclaim the good news of salvation from day to day.
Declare the glory of the LORD among the nations
and the wonders of the LORD among all peoples.
For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised,
more to be feared than all gods.
As for all the gods of the nations, they are but idols;
but it is the LORD who made the heavens.
Oh, the majesty and magnificence of the presence of the LORD! Oh, the power and the splendor of the sanctuary of our God!

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Creator God, who did not forget me what I forgot you, enter this soul which you inspired with longing. For not even the heart which is more turned in on itself can hide from your sight. So find me in my seeking, that I may discover it is for you alone that I long… -- St. Augustine
Silent Prayers of Confession
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
As the Apostle Paul wrote: “If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). The good news therefore is this: “now is the acceptable time; today is the day of salvation!” (2 Corinthians 6:2b).
Thanks be to God!
